Introducing AI Arena
In AI Arena, players design, train and battle AI-powered NFTs in a global PvP Arena competition.
More specifically, the AI Arena platform is a global, Meta Competition.
There are two distinct and complementary competitions that power the platform:
Research Competition and Gaming Competition.
🔴 Arenans - All players and stakeholders
🔬 Researchers - Players competing in the Research Competition
🎮 Gamers - Players competing in the Gaming Competitions
The Meta Competition
Research Competition
In the first half of the Meta Competition, talented Researchers from around the world compete to create the best Machine Learning (ML) model to battle in the game.
This is enabled by our researcher platform. Researchers drag and drop their ML models onto the platform and immediately see a full suite of indicators and analytics against pre-designed benchmarks.
This real-time feedback propels iterative experimentation. Once researchers are satisfied with their model’s performance, they can enter into the Arena and compete against other models submitted by researchers from around the world.
Researchers are able to earn our native token, Neuron ($NRN), for performing well on the global leaderboard.
In the future, they will have the ability to sell certain types of models directly into the marketplace to power NFTs in the Gaming Competition. For more information, please visit .
Gaming Competition
In the other half of the Meta Competition, Gamers from around the world compete to develop the optimal training strategy to maximize their NFT’s performance in the Arena.
The game UI makes it intuitive enough for a casual user to play the game, yet powerful enough for advanced users to retain full control over specific training parameters.
The game is simple to pick up, but difficult to master. This is by design. The competitive pursuit with a global player base will level up the next generation of AI talent.
Gamers are able to earn $NRN as they climb the global leaderboard. The $NRNs can be used in many ways within the game to solidify competitive advantage.
Gamers also have the opportunity to win new NFTs through the Merging Pool, further improving their chances for global domination.

Formula 1 (F1) is a good analogy for AI Arena.
In F1, teams are comprised of Engineers and Drivers. Engineers compete to build the best race car, while drivers compete to maximize the performance of the cars on the circuit.
The Engineers in F1 are just like Researchers in AI Arena, while the Drivers are the Gamers¹.
This creates an ever-changing, ever-improving, infinite competition.
Success in the Arena requires a complementary set of skills.
For example, in F1 the car and the driver must be compatible. The best car with a bad driver isn’t likely to place well. However, an average car with a top driver may still be quite competitive.
We are excited to observe the emerging dynamics within AI Arena as the two sub-competitions interact within the Meta Competition.
Breakthrough Gaming Experience
AI Arena is the first game where the player can see into the "brain" of an AI model, understand its behavior, and coach the AI through demonstration. It is the first consumer-facing product that offers a “human-in-the-loop” AI experience.
More than just a breakthrough in gaming, we are democratizing AI - making it more approachable, accessible and helping build AI literacy and intuition for the general public.
We strive to deliver a gaming experience that is...
💎 Truly unique & one-of-a-kind.
😁 Fun and educational to broaden appeal.
🕹️ Simple, but not easy — quick to pick up, yet difficult to master.
🤯 Exciting to watch, and makes you go “Wow, how did it (the AI) do that?”
Note:
- This is a simplification for illustration purposes. Technically, Researchers play the role of both the Engineers and Drivers within the Research Competition.
