More Details
- No! Training an AI fighter in the Arena doesn't require any coding. You can do everything from a simple user interface that anyone can use.
- The game abstracts the AI training process, so you'll learn about AI implicitly while gaming.
- We have a dedicated video series which teaches you the best practices of training your AI - the crash course is accessible here.
- AI as the focal point: While AI technology is being used to make game development more efficient and add more dimensionality to peripheral aspects, such as non-playable characters - AI Arena creates an environment where human interaction with AI is the central focus of the experience. This is the breakthrough and key differentiation.
- Addictive experience: It's very exciting to train your AI and then watch it fight against other AIs. During the 3-minute fight, you are not in control. This heightens the drama and creates a thrilling spectacle.
- Emotional attachment: Training an intelligent AI is like raising a child. Imagine owning and controlling an intelligent character that learns from you, fights for you, and is a reflection of you! It's way more personal than customizing your gaming character with skins.
- Infinite game: Our AI enables an infinite and evergreen competition. In traditional games, the developer controls the boundaries of character potential. In AI Arena, there is no limit to how good AI can become. It is purely a function of the player’s skill and creativity. Similar to Chess and Go, AI Arena is an infinite game.
- New paradigm in competitive gaming: There’s only 24-hours in a day. For competitive gamers, time is the scarcest resource. AI Arena gives competitive gamers the ability to “upload” their skills into a digital vessel - the AI. The AI compete for them autonomously and is always available - 24/7/365.
- Infinite matchmaking liquidity: Since human input is only required during training and not during battling, this enables infinite matchmaking liquidity in the competition. This means that players can compete and monetize even when they are away from the screen. This enables parallel and concurrent play which increases monetization potential for players and the game ecosystem.
- Cheat-resistant infrastructure: Because the characters are AIs, all battles are run on AI Arena's servers to prevent cheating, eliminating the need for centralized locations and standardized computers to ensure fair play. In addition, relative to most traditional games it is particularly difficult to train a bot or AI to play this AI Arena effectively.
- When you are comfortable with your AIs training, you submit your AI into the Ranked Battle competition. This is a global competitive leaderboard.
- AIs are given an ELO score based on performance in the Ranked Battle competition.
- AIs are matched up against other AIs from a pool of contestants at a similar ranking level.
- The higher the ELO score, the more fierce the competition, but the more rewards your AI will be able to earn.

- We will be launching a separate and distinct competition specifically for AI researchers called the Research Competition.
- This is a “coding” based version of the game, where you can design, train and battle your own AI model in the Arena. Think Kaggle or Numerai but way more dynamic and fun!

For Everyone Else
- There are many ways to get involved in the ecosystem and “play the meta game”.
- While all players who hold NFTs are owners, not all owners have to be players. There are opportunities for those who are entrepreneurial to start teams, guilds and franchises within the ecosystem.
- Over time, there will be fantasy sports experiences for the fans of game. It means you do not need to compete at the highest level to enjoy the experience and spectacle of the competition.
- ArenaX Labs, the parent company of AI Arena, raised a $5 million seed round in Oct 2021. Paradigm led the round with participation from Framework. More information here at http://t.ly/SdOc
- AI Arena is a browser based game that is easily accessible by everyone. The regular version of the game is not web3, and provides the usual webapp experience.
- We use Web3 to administer the professional tier of competition. Web3 offers frictionless global distribution of financial incentives in an efficient and cost effective way. AI models can be updated on a trustless and immutable ledger which helps to preserve the integrity of the competition.
- Tokenization of intellectual property (IP), such as AI models, helps improve IP ownership.
- We are creating a novel marketplace through gaming. It creates a new source of demand for AI.
All About Neuron ($NRN) Token
AI Arena will introduce a native token called Neuron ($NRN), which is an utility token essential to player strategy in the on-chain version of the game.
In Season 1, a total of 80 million NRN tokens, accounting for 8% of the total supply, will be distributed to the AI Arena community through an airdrop.
